In Odyssey, we strive to keep a respectful and inclusive community. To make sure our members can enjoy their experience within our group, we use a three strike system for keeping behavior in check. A “strike" is a formal indication that a member has broken our rules. Receive three strikes, and you will be removed from the group. Not all violations result in an immediate strike. Some may warrant just a warning on the first occurrence, and only result in a strike if the member continues the behavior. Others may lead to immediate removal from the group.
Behavioral strikes are cleared six months after the member’s last offense. For example, if you’ve only received one strike, it will be cleared after six months. If instead you receive one, and then another three months later, the six-month timer restarts from the most recent offense.
However, strikes given to those who fail to complete their activity check are handled a little differently. Until this strike has been cleared, you lose the privilege of bringing new characters into the group. Additionally, if you have a high rank, the character will be demoted from their role. This kind of strike can be cleared by completing the next activity check, but a repeated failure to do so will instead result in removal from the group, regardless of how many strikes the member currently has. Activity checks in Odyssey are easy to complete, and alternate between two methods, which can be found in our guidelines. If you were removed from the group due to inactivity, you may rejoin after 3 months.
Members can appeal their strikes anytime. To do this, head over to community category and #make-a-ticket so that it can be discussed.
