Making Drachmae

To honor our members' contributions, we've established a system where you can earn currency— called drachmae —by actively participating in the group or aiding its expansion. This allows you to acquire unique traits, certain plots, additional character slots, and more. Remember that many of the traits available for purchase will alter your character's stats, for better and for worse. We expect that these changes will be reflected in your character's biography and portrayal in their writing.

Activity

In Odyssey, earning drachma is simple: if you write, you earn.
To claim your earnings, submit a completed roleplay post with at least 100 words. For every 10 words, you earn ₯1, rounded to the nearest whole number.

• Example: A 143-word post earns ₯14

Important: Only count the words you wrote for the roleplay itself.

• Do not include:

  • Headers (e.g. Rowanwhisker, 11 moons at the top of the RP)

  • Direct quotes from other players (eg. the bolded: "We should go this way," Rowanwhisker turned towards the voice that spoke, he strained his hears "It feels safer." he heard them finish.)

When submitting your claim, include the link to your RP so staff can verify.

Event Bonus

During official events, if you write at least two posts and have a minimum of 200 words, you’ll earn a flat ₯30 bonus, on top of your normal wordcount earnings for those posts.

Quests

Quests offer even more opportunities to earn drachmae and story rewards.
Check each clan’s Quest Forum for details on available quests, requirements, and bonus payouts.

Boosting

If you boost our server, you'll be given ₯200 as thanks. Boosting more than once stacks these rewards, but only for three times, making for a total of ₯600 you can recieve. However, for as long as your boost(s) remains, you have the choice of having a lilac color for your name instead of blue, and will be given ₯100 monthly. You will be pinged when it's time to collect your allowance.

When redeeming your drachmae, be sure to include a screenshot as proof. After claiming your third boost, removing your boosts and then reapplying them later will not earn you anything.

Referring

If somebody joins through you, you can collect ₯100 when they complete their first RP.

Writing

For literature, you will receive ₯5 for every 300 words. The word count will be rounded to the nearest hundred (for example, 530 words will be considered 500, while 580 words will be considered 600). The content must be canon and primarily focus on a character currently within the group. Stories that delve into your character's background are allowed, and welcomed.

• Showcase: Writings that focus on at least one living, in-group character can be posted to #showcase. These stories must be canon and have a minimum of 3000 words. For every month your writing is posted there, you can collect ₯10 for it. You will have to keep track of this yourself and link each individual piece when claiming your drachmae from it.

Artwork

The following cannot be claimed for currency: uncolored work, use of either AI or bases, characters that are not in-group or are deceased, and artwork created prior to the character joining the group. For animations, drachmae will only be awarded for each unique frame. Simple animations, such as blinking or tail movements, will not earn additional drachmae unless the entire body has been redrawn for each frame. For unique situations, you may contact us via ticket.
