1a. Ships must have a minimum of 3 non-chatter roleplays with each other before they can become mates.
These roleplays must be completed, have taken place inside the server and with at least five posts per player. One of these roleplays must be about the characters agreeing to become mates.
Characters can be entered into the group as mates, but instead will have requirements to complete before they can have a litter. This does not apply to forbidden relationships– these must begin after both characters have been submitted to the group!
To submit a mate request, use the command /command.
2a. Forbidden relationships, while allowed, is a plot that both participants must purchase themselves.
Players can only have one ongoing forbidden relationship at a time. Do not engage in this plot if you are afraid of consequences. Punishment can include exile. The outcome depends on your characters' circumstances, their storyline, etc. We cannot give you a clear idea of what will happen to them in case things change. There is also no promise that your character's lover will be welcomed into the opposing clan, should that be what you strive for.
3a. Characters may have only started courting or developing feelings for each other if the age difference falls within the specified limits below:
If the age gap is bigger than 6 moons, the older character cannot have had any sort of relationship with the younger character during their childhood or adolescence.
6-11 moons old: Trainees cannot take on mates, but they may develop feelings for another trainee who is no more than 2 moons older or younger than themselves. If one of these trainees graduates into a warrior before the other one, their feelings can remain, but characters brought into the group as warriors cannot develop feelings for a trainee.
12-15 moons old: Characters in this age range cannot be mates with a character more than 3 moons older than themselves.
16-19 moons old: Characters in this age range cannot be mates or have kits with a character more than 6 moons older than themselves.
20-35 moons old: Characters in this age range cannot be mates or have kits with a character more than 12 moons older than themselves.
36-69 moons old: Characters in this age range cannot be mates or have kits with a character more than 24 moons older than themselves.
70-99 moons old: Characters in this age range cannot be mates or have kits with a character more than 48 moons older than themselves.
100+ moons old: Once a character has reached 100 moons, there is no limit to how much older their romantic/physical interest can be.
4a. Characters must have existed in the group for 3 IRL months before they can have kits, and be at least 18 moons old. In order to have kits, characters must complete the following RP requirements:
Mates: Once characters have finished the requirements to become mates, they may have kits so long as the rank is open.
Brought into the group as mates: Must have 3 non-chatter and in-server roleplays with each other before they can have kits. These roleplays must be completed, and have at least 5 posts per player.
Unmated pairs: If an unmated pair has had 3 non-chatter and in-server roleplays together, they may have kits so long as the rank is open. These roleplays must be completed, and have at least 5 posts per player.
Kittens born between two cats who have not completed the above requirements: Must have completed at least one in-server interaction together, which can be chatter. To make up for the difference, both members must purchase a Litter Pass from the shop.
Sires/Surrogates: Must have completed at least one in-server interaction together, which can be chatter. If it is for another pairing, they must still complete the requirements for mates. If it is for a single cat, the owner of the character raising the litter must purchase a Litter Pass from the shop. Sires and surrogates do not take part in raising the children, they only offer their aid in the creation of the litter, and for surrogates, nursing as well. If you plan for your character to take part in raising the litter, you again must purchase a Litter Pass.
A pair that has already had kits before must complete 2 non-chatter and in-server roleplays with at least 5 posts per player before they can have another litter. Their last litter must have been over 12 moons (6 months) ago.
A litter born between two characters of different affiliations will always require a forbidden relationship plot purchase from both members, whether or not the parents were ever together romantically.
Litters must be approved by the owners. To submit a request, please open a ticket.
5a. You may have up to 1 kit without purchase. If you want to have a second or third kit, you must buy the additional slots from the shop.
If you bought additional litter slots but are unable to find players, you may request a refund. The character is not pregnant until the auditions have been posted. These auditions should run for no longer than a month, covering most of the character's pregnancy period. They should conclude before the character is due to give birth, and players should submit their characters within two real-life weeks after the birth, if they have not already.
5b. In the event that the player of a kit departs the group, but leaves you with the character and their design, you have the option to re-audition them.
The re-auditioned character must keep the same name, design, biological sex, and possess a personality that is at least similar to the original. If you do not have ownership over the character, then they are killed off.
6a. While we are not strict on realism, kits should at least somewhat resemble their biological parents.
They should not have patterns and coloring that wildly differentiate. Such as an orange tabby and a brown tabby producing a color-pointed kitten— it’s not happening.
6b. Traits that can be inherited can be purchased in the shop for 50% off its regular price. You must have already been chosen for the litter to have your discount apply.
Kits cannot have the following traits unless inherited from a biological parent:
Abnormally large
Abnormally small (unless the character was a runt)
Abnormally large claws
Abnormally large fangs
Unusual colored scleras
Hairless (completely or partially, can also be caused due to illness)
Flat faced
Lynx hybrid
If your character's parent was a lynx, they are an F1 hybrid.
If your character's grandparent was a lynx, they are an F2 hybrid.
If your character's great grandparent was a lynx, they are an F3 hybrid.
If your character's great great grandparent was a lynx, they are pretty much just a regular cat, but it's a cool fun fact.
7a. Kittens should behave like kittens, both IRP and within pre-group histories.
0 Weeks (Newborn)
Umbilical cord attached
Eyes closed, ears folded
Can't regulate body temperature
Puddlekit wiggled blindly in the nest, her tiny body pressed against her mother’s warmth. A weak mewl escaped her as she instinctively sought milk, eyes closed and ears folded, completely unaware of the world around her.
1 Week
Eyes closed, ears folded
Umbilical cord gone
Eyes open at 8-12 days
Puddlekit nursed quietly, her tiny paws kneading against her mother’s belly. Her eyes were still shut, and her ears remained folded, but her soft purrs and gentle mews filled the den as she nestled closer for warmth.
2 Weeks
Eyes completely open, blue in color
Wobbly on their feet
Puddlekit blinked her newly opened blue eyes, the world blurry and bright. She wobbled with uncertainty on tiny paws, letting out a confused mew before toppling over, still unsure of her newfound vision.
3 Weeks
Incisors emerging
Ears unfolded
Puddlekit’s ears twitched as she took her first few wobbly steps, her tiny teeth starting to poke through her gums. The dull ache in her mouth made her uncomfortable, so she chewed curiously on some moss, trying to ease the sensation. After a moment, she padded back toward her mother for comfort, still not ready to explore too far.
4 Weeks (1 moon)
Canines emerging
Vision improving, walking confidently
Puddlekit padded around the den more confidently, though the ache in her gums from her emerging teeth made her nibble on a stray stick. Her eyes brightened when she saw Ripplekit, and she batted at his tail. "Play!" she chirped, though her pounce was clumsy. After a tumble, she bit on his ear.
5 Weeks
Premolars emerging
Weaning slowly onto soft food
Puddlekit gnawed on soft prey, her premolars emerging and making her mouth ache. She chewed extra hard on the prey to ease the discomfort, but it wasn’t enough. Spotting a soft moss ball, she padded over and bit down with a relieved sigh. "Teeth hurt..." she mumbled, before glancing at Ripplekit. "Play!" With a happy squeak, she pounced onto him, biting lightly as they tumbled around the nest.
6 Weeks
All milk (deciduous) teeth have emerged
Eating confidently
With all her milk teeth in, Puddlekit chewed on her prey, feeling more comfortable now that the ache had eased. Spotting Ripplekit, she darted over, her paws quick and sure. "Want to play!" she squeaked, pouncing at his back. They tumbled together with playful growls, her little nips full of mischief.
8 Weeks (2 moons)
Weaning nearly complete
Very playful and energetic
Puddlekit chased after Ripplekit, her paws swift and sure as she darted around the den. "Catch me if you can!" she yowled, bounding across the nest with new confidence. After a long play session, she flopped down beside her friend, grinning. "That was so fun!" she purred, her words clear and full of joy.
10 Weeks
More independent, explores outside the den
Speaking properly with simple sentences
Puddlekit peeked out of the den, her nose twitching with excitement. She ventured further than ever before, taking cautious steps toward the camp clearing. "Look, Ripplekit!" she called, her tail flicking as she spotted some warriors practicing their moves. "One day, I’ll fight just like that!" she declared with confidence, her speech now clear and fluid. She crouched down, trying to mimic their moves with playful swipes.
12 Weeks (3 moons)
Physically stronger, able to play rougher
Learning hunting crouches by watching warriors
Puddlekit crouched low, her eyes locked on a fluttering leaf just a few tail-lengths away. "This time, I’ll catch it!" she whispered. With a burst of energy, she leapt forward, landing squarely on the leaf. "Got it!" she squeaked triumphantly, turning to Ripplekit with a grin. "I’m going to be the best hunter in the whole clan one day!"
16 Weeks (4 moons)
Skills improving, able to track and pounce more accurately
Looking forward to traineeship
Puddlekit padded around camp, her steps more precise and her senses sharper. The thought of becoming a trainee filled her with excitement. "I can’t wait to be an trainee!" she told Ripplekit, her eyes gleaming. "We’ll train so hard, and I’ll be the best warrior there ever was!"
20 Weeks (5 moons)
Nearly ready for traineeship, eager to prove themselves
Honing their skills in preparation
Puddlekit tackled Ripplekit, but this time her movements were more controlled. "See? I’m getting so much better!" she purred proudly, bouncing off him. "Soon, we’ll be trainee, and we’ll show everyone how good we are!"
24 Weeks (6 moons) - Becoming a Trainee
Officially made an trainee
Training with a mentor
Puddlekit stood tall beside her mother as the King called her name. "From this day forward, until she has earned her warrior name, she will be known as Puddlepaw," they announced. Puddlepaw’s chest swelled with pride as the clan cheered her new name. She glanced at Ripplekit—now Ripplepaw—and smiled. "We did it!" she whispered. "Now, the real fun begins."
